Alexander Lyubin

Alexander Lyubin (1982) is a photographer. Graduated from the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University majoring in philosophy. Member of an art group “Common wince” and the Kaliningrad Union of Photoartists. His works are in the collections of the Russian Museum (St.-Petersburg), Kaliningrad Art Gallery, Museum of Natural History (Kaliningrad) and in private collections. Alexander participated in different Russian and international art projects. Winner of a biennale of photography “Photomania” (Kaliningrad, 2011) and an exhibition “The territory of victory” (Murmansk, 2010). The area of Alexander’s artistic interests includes landscape and portrait photography. He’s currently working on several photo series, such as “None of your games”, “Silent forms”, “Empty wind”, “Habitat” and “Minimum”. Alexander had a number of personal exhibitions” “For worms” (Baltic spit, 2005); “12 photographs” (Kaliningrad, 2006); “Six years” (Kaliningrad, 2007); “Fall” (Kaliningrad, 2008); “Bubbles” (Chernyakhovsk, 2010); “Dung beetles” (Baltic spit, 2010). Took part in such exhibitions and projects as a photo exhibition “Matveev” (Kaliningrad, 2009); exhibition “Black gold” (Saint Petersburg, 2010); art festival “Les” (Svetlogorsk, 2010); photo exhibition “The territory of victory” (Murmansk, 2010); arty party “Sosalki” (Kaliningrad, 2011); Baltic Biennale of Photography “Photomania” (Kaliningrad, 2011); exhibition at the Kunstlerhaus Lukas in the framework of an art residence (Ahrenshoop, 2011); international project “Telling the Baltic” (Klaipeda, 2013); “exhibition “Made in Kaliningrad” (Klaipeda, 2013).
